Reserved
Featherwhisker is a very reserved cat when she needs to be. Her demure is respectful and quiet whenever she is around her superiors and her patients. Her calmness soothes panicked cats and cats fighting illness, giving them an extra boost towards health. If one did not know her, they may think she did not speak. At Gatherings she sits and listens, though barely utters a word unless it is of the utmost importance. She is very wise and knowing, after many experiences beyond her maturity at the time.
Compassionate
Featherpawr has a heart for the hopeless and lost. Her compassion is always present, and one always knows that it exists. Even from afar, a cat will see the compassion holding itself in Featherwhisker's heart. The warrior code applies to all, but Featherwhisker would deny it if any cat were in trouble. If a FireClan apprentice is drowning, Featherpaw will leap into the water without hesitation to rescue it. A warrior from another clan is rasping for breathe in battle, she will tend his wounds. She is respected by all the Clans, because she has helped at least one of their members at one time or another. When she was a kit, her mother always taught her to be kind and loving to all, because being bitter never helped anycat. This is still Featherwhisker's philosophy and she passes the knowledge on to other apprentices every chance she gets.
Viscous
Featherwhisker may seem like a quiet sweetheart, but if you meet her in battle, you are terribly mistaken. Normally Featherwhisker is a lover, not a fighter. But she will not hesitate to fight for what she loves. Though compassionate, if her loved ones or clan members are hurt or being hurt, she will throw herself into battle and defend them with all her fury. She is very precise in fighting, and her small size helps her navigate swiftly between her opponents blows. She is deadly if you threaten her family, which is her Clan.
Clumsy
Though she walks with grace, she is a very clumsy cat when it comes to hunting and speaking. When Featherpaw attempts a real conversation with a new cat, her words are jumbled and flow out in babble. If she knows you and is comfortable around you, this doesn't usually occur, but when a new cat arrives, Featherwhisker prefers to keep her words and part of the conversation short and likes listening way better than talking. Even when around her closest friends, sometimes Featherpaw stumbles over words.
When hunting, Featherwhisker can never find her balance. Because of her short tail and small frame, her balance is thrown off. When hunting, she prefers to take a cat along so they can catch more prey. Rarely does she ever hunt alone. Once in a while she'll make a good catch, but don't hold your breath!

In the nursery
As a kit, Featherwhisker was quite the little ball of trouble. She was the runt of her litter, small and stocky. She was one of the first to open her eyes. Featherkit was in a litter of two, her brother named Gorsekit. They would tussle and play all around the nursery, causing the queens much annoyance. But this did not stop them from having their fun. Featherkit was always the one who knew exactly what to do. She knew right from wrong at an early age, and it helped that her mother was a very loving queen.
Apprenticeship
Featherpaw wanted so badly to be a warrior. Thoughts of the medicine den never even crossed her mind at the age of six moons. She was so small though. Her clanmates mocked her and teased her about being so small, and when she was finally apprenticed, at Gatherings other cats would ask how old she was, wondering if RiverClan were training kits too early. This of course, made Featherpaw a little angry and sad. Her mentor assured her there was nothing to be ashamed of, for she couldn't control how big she was. When it cam time to hunt, however, her balance was so out of whack she couldn't catch a single thing. And she always felt bad when she saw her mentor kill a mouse, whom didn't even know its time to die was at hand. Featherpaw was put out and ashamed. She could never serve her clan this way! her brother, Gorsepaw, was no help either. He always said that Clan life was just not for everycat. For the longest time Featherpaw thought he was talking about her.
In her third moon of training, the Clan medicine cat had received a sign. She had been searching for an apprentice for moons on end, and finally StarClan chose the cat. A feather had been found resting on the medicine cats whisker when she woke in the morning. Immediately Featherpaw was called to her den. When asked if she would want to be medicine cat apprentice, Featherpaw couldn't be more shocked! This was her calling! StarClan had specifically asked for HER to be the medicine cat apprentice! She couldn't have been more ecstatic. Finally, she could serve her clan.
A terrible time
During her days as a medicine cat apprentice, Featherwhisker learned a lot. She was so proud of herself. She had found where she belonged in her Clan. She grew to be respected and loved. But trouble was coming to Featherwhisker's personal life. Her brother, Gorsepelt [he had become a warrior before she, seeing as she was still medicine cat apprentice. However, she did recieve her warrior name the same evening as her brother], had become restless and rude. Featherwhisker knew something was wrong. He snapped at cats when they annoyed him only a little, and took to going out on his own, without consent of his leader. Featherpaw began to worry. She brought it up with her mentor, and she in turn brought it up with the leader. Gorsepelt was summoned into the leader's den. Featherpaw never knew what was said, but once Gorsepelt came out, he spent the rest of the day in the warriors den. That night, the leader called a clan meeting.
Gorsepelt had decided to leave the Clan and live his life as a Loner. Featherwhisker was shocked! She couldn't believe it! Her brother was a fine warrior, the best hunter in WaterClan and a fierce fighter. After the meeting, Gorsepelt said goodbye to Featherwhisker. For days Featherwhisker didn't leave her den. Her best friend, her brother, her partner in kithood crime, was gone. She hasn't seen him since.

Moonlight cascaded onto the ground, washing the camp in a silver glow. Featherwhisker was awake again, watching over her mentor as she lay in a bed of moss, heat coming off of her in waves. She was terribly sick. Featherwhisker watched as the ragged breaths escaped her mentor's mouth, the stench of death covering her once bright pelt. The moon was almost full, reminding Featherwhisker she would have to either not attend the Gathering and tend to her mentor, or go because her mentor had passed. Grief fell like a stone on Featehrwhiskers heart. She remembered her brother, Gorsepelt. And now another close friend was going to leave her. Featehrwhisker was usually an optimist, but the scent of death and the silvery spirits of StarClan were much to close for any hope now. Featherwhisker curled up by her mentor's side, her small frame almost becoming invisible beside the larger, older warrior at her side. A strong wind swept through the medicine den, and with it came the soft voices of Ancestors long lost in StarClan. One final breath and soon, Featehrwhiskers mentor was gone with them. A fatigue like she had never felt washed over Featherwhisker, and a small feeling of relief from her endless nights awake flooded through her, and she found the warm embrace of sleep.
