Now, these rules are for insuring safe and fun, organized roleplaying for everyone. Please follow them and everything will be organized and easier to understand:
Roleplay is when you create a character and interact that character with other character's created on the site. It is like everyone on the site is writing a huge book, but the outcome is determined by the posting back and forth between characters.
I am a cat named Feather and I am walking down a lane where I meet Bill, a frog (Normal posts would be required to be longer than these):
Feather paced down the road, eying the trees and whispering ferns. Her eyes searched for her friend, Bill. She tried to catch sight of the green amphibeon, but to no avail. Her pawsteps echoed across the forest floor as she paced, her whiskers twitching.
NEW POST BY DIFFERENT MEMBER
Bill Hopped out of the bushes, staring into Feather's face. "Hello old friend!" he croaked happily. "Nice day?"
NEW POST BY FEATHER
Feather nodded, "It is a nice day!" she replied enthusiastically.
Normally, each post would contain more details and would be quite a few lines longer, but this is an example.
Powerplaying is a huge pet peeve of mine. if your character is in a fight, leave your moves open. Do not say things like, "He pinned her down in an instant," then, the other character has no choice but to be pinned down. Please, stick to ONE character's point of view.
Godmoding is a hated use of roleplaying as well. It is unfair and silly to try and defeat or talk with the "perfect Character." So please, do not create them.
Chatspeak is annoying in any form of typing/writing. It is tacky and illiterate and will not be tolerated on this site!
Unacceptable example: Feather walked down the road. Her fur felt cold, but she spotted her friend Bill up ahead. "Hey bill! Wanna tok 2 me right now? I luv u!"
THAT makes me so mad that people can be so illiterate! So do not do it.
Acceptable post Feather padded down the sandy road, the dirt cool on her paws. As the breeze swept over the land, her fur ruffled with the cold. Despite the dreary weather, Feather's eyes lit up. She had detected movement earlier, but felt filled with glee when she noticed the movement was made by her best friend, Bill. "Hello, Bill!" she cried out, dashing over to where her friend sat. "Do you want to talk for a while before I head home?" Feather asked, her pale ears twitching in the ever present breeze. Her heart swelled with love for her dear friend as she sat in his company, overjoyed beyond words. Hint: follow the blue letters to find the biography password
